Customers today are getting increasingly vocal about the causes they support and have begun incorporating that support into their daily decisions.  According to a study by Cone Communications in 2017, 87% of customers will purchase a product because a company advocated for an issue they cared about, and 76% will refuse to purchase a company’s product or services if it supported an issue contrary to their beliefs.  These percentages will likely continue to increase, so it is important to make sure that your business is upholding the same values as your customers.
