Statement
Here at First Reformed Church of Hasbrouck Heights we believe everyone matters and everyone has been invited to a life-giving and healing relationship with Jesus Christ.
While it is true that we can connect with our Creator when we are walking through a forest, doing creative artwork and even on the golf course, but to really grow in our discipleship and experience healing and wholeness it requires being with others. Our scriptures tell us we are to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling”. For us, that means living what we believe about grace, love and forgiveness in the context of relationships. When we are a part of a church this is what we do, figure out what it means to be grace-filled, loving and forgiving of each other no matter the circumstances because we have experienced these things in Jesus Christ.
Here at First Reformed Church of Hasbrouck Heights, your belief in God and God’s Son, Jesus Christ, however imperfect and maybe even shaky at times, gives you a community where you belong.
When you are where you matter, where you can make a difference, you can become the person God intended you to be from before your very first breath.
