Given the ongoing media coverage regarding the outbreak of Coronavirus, we would like to take this opportunity to assure you that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure that together our businesses continue to operate as productively as possible.
A good amount of our office equipment, parts, toner etc. is manufactured at a plant in Dongguan, China approximately 621 miles from Wuhan, where the outbreak is believed to have begun. Due to restrictions on the supply of materials and a reduced workforce, production at this plant is decreased significantly.
Current stock levels mean that this is not an imminent issue for fulfilling current orders. However, should the outbreak continue, this could present a challenge to continue operations as usual and fulfill all orders. As this is an ongoing situation, we are monitoring the outbreak to ensure the safety of our employees and to put plans in place for if the outbreak continues over a prolonged period.
Please rest safe in the knowledge that our comprehensive business continuity plans are in place to allow us to be prepared for events such as this outbreak. Technical support remains fully operational as always. All current orders remain valid and you will be kept fully up to date on the status of the order in case of any change. In the case that exceptional circumstances are required should the outbreak continue over a sustained period, we will inform you immediately.
